How to Set Up League of Legends Match Alerts in Discord
One of the most common questions we get is "how do I get match alerts working?" So here's the full walkthrough. It takes about two minutes.
What match alerts actually look like
After someone in your server finishes a game, Dorans-bot posts a breakdown in whatever channel you choose. You get KDA, CS, damage, vision score, the full item build, LP changes for ranked, and some auto-generated highlights (stuff like "first blood" or "highest damage in the lobby").
It works across all queues: Ranked Solo/Duo, Flex, ARAM, Draft, Arena, you name it.
Step 1: Invite the bot
If you haven't already, add Dorans-bot to your server. It needs basic permissions for posting messages and creating webhooks.
Step 2: Link your League account
Every player that wants to be tracked needs to link their Riot account:
/account link game-name:YourName tag-line:NA1 region:North America
The bot asks you to swap your summoner icon briefly to verify it's really your account. Once that's done, you're good. Admins can also force-link people with /admin force-link if needed.
More details in the Linking Accounts guide.
Step 3: Pick your alerts channel
/config alerts matches channel:#match-alerts
That's literally it. The bot sets up a webhook in the channel and starts posting after the next game finishes.
Filtering by queue type
All match types are enabled by default. If you only care about ranked, or you want to turn off ARAM alerts, you can toggle them individually:
/config alerts type match-type:ARAM
Premium users can also route different queues to different channels, so ranked goes to #ranked and ARAMs go to #aram.
Promotion alerts
This one's optional but pretty fun. You can set up a separate channel that the bot posts to whenever someone hits a new rank:
/config alerts promotions channel:#promotions
It picks up every tier and division change, so Gold to Platinum, Silver III to Silver II, all of it.
Every match gets its own web page
Here's something a lot of people don't realize: every match tracked by Dorans-bot also gets a full breakdown on the web. Think op.gg-style stats but scoped to your server. Gold graphs, build orders, damage charts, win probability over time, all of it.

Every match gets a detailed web breakdown
You can get to these directly from the match alert in Discord, just click the View Breakdown link in the embed.
Your server also gets its own page on dorans.bot with stats, leaderboards, player profiles, and highlight clips. Run /guild showcase to grab the link.
What else can you do?
Once you've got match alerts running, there's a lot more you can layer on:
- Daily Summaries for end-of-day LP recaps
- Leaderboards to see who's on top of the server
- Config Commands for the full list of settings
